Jingjing Jiao, Ph.D., is a professor at Zhejiang University School of Medicine in Hangzhou, China within the Department of Nutrition at School of Public Health. She is a joint professor at the Department of Endocrinology of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. She is also a visiting professor at Harvard University T H Chan School of Public Health. Her research expertise includes precise nutrition and preventive medicine with a special interest in nutrition (including nutrients, diets and dietary patterns) and the prevention and control of chronic diseases especially obesity related and cardiovascular metabolic diseases. Her research also focuses on the relationship between polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), especially long-chain n-3 PUFA, and cardiovascular metabolic diseases and the mechanism of regulating glycolipid metabolism. She has published original research papers in top peer-reviewed journals such as BMJ-British Medical Journal, Nature Communications, Science Advances, Circulation Research, Diabetes Care, Journal of Internal Medicine, Chemical Reviews, Microbiome, etc. She serves as a committee member of the Nutrition and Health Food Division, the Nutrition and Omics Technology Division, the Nutrition Big Data and Health Division of the Chinese Nutrition Society, and the Sports and Public Health Division of the Chinese Biophysics Society.

Dr. Farshideh Einsele studied Electrical Engineering, Industrial Management & Computer Science in the Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) and University of Fribourg in Switzerland. She completed her PhD in Computer Science department specialized in Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition in 2008. She then completed a PostDoc year in University of Florida (UCF) researching text-recognition from real-life images. Since 2012 she is associate Professor in Bern University of Applied sciences (BUAS). She teaches Business Information technology and Computer Science courses. Her research interests are data and text mining. Since 2015 she has been involved in cooperation with department of health in BUAS in data mining to find correlation between food intake and chronical diseases and has published several articles in this regard. Currently, she is working on finding links between food intake and chronical diseases using supermarket food basket and 20 years of nationwide Swiss Health database. Besides, she works in other data mining projects which involve social media and Covid-19 data.

Prof. Dr. Nure Mozammel Kiron, MD, PhD is a distinguished expert in the field of Physical Medicine, Acupuncture, and Integrated Medicine, with over four decades of academic and clinical experience. He holds advanced degrees including a Ph.D. in Acupuncture from the Open International University for Complementary Medicine (Sri Lanka) and multiple postgraduate certifications from institutions in Japan, China, and the UK. Sibylle Kranz is a registered dietitian and fellow of The Obesity Society. Her research focuses on dietary intake behavior and how diet/nutrition relates to health and learning outcomes, especially in preschoolers. Kranz has served the professional community for almost two decades in many roles, such as chair of the Food and Nutrition section of the American Public Health Association and the Nutrition Epidemiology section of The Obesity Society. She was highly involved with the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), is a member of the research integrity subcommittee of the Commission on Research of the Academy for Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), and has served on editorial boards for the Journal of the International Society for Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity (IJBNPA) and Nutrients, where Kranz manages two special issues.

Dr. Pan Zhuang is a researcher at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. He earned his Ph.D. in Food Science and Nutrition from Zhejiang University in 2020 and specializes in nutrition and metabolic health. His research integrates epidemiological studies, human intervention trials, and mechanistic studies using animal and cellular models. Currently, his work focuses on personalized dietary strategies, particularly the role of dietary fats, aligning with this article’s exploration of the beneficial effects of marine n-3 fatty acids on sleep in diabetes patients. A recipient of the Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program by CAST, he is dedicated to advancing national nutrition and health research in China. He also serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member for the journal Research.

Dr. Vincenzo Di Marzo holds the Canada Excellence Research Chair on the Microbiome-Endocannabinoidome Axis in Metabolic Health (CERC-MEND) at Université Laval in Quebec, Canada and Associate Research Director at the Institute of Biomolecular Chemistry of the National Research Council (ICB-CNR) in Naples, Italy. He is also the coordinator of the Endocannabinoid Research Group in the Naples region, and the director of the Joint International Research Unit between the Italian National Research Council and Université Laval, for Chemical and Biomolecular Research on the Microbiome and its impact on Metabolic Health and Nutrition (UMI-MicroMeNu). He holds a master's degree in chemistry from the University of Naples “Federico II” in 1983, and a PhD in biochemistry from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London in 1988. He is co-author of over 760 articles published in peer-reviewed journals (H index 131 according to Scopus). He is Head of a research team on Nutritional Physiology & Toxicology, affiliated to Inserm Research Center (UMR1231). He is principal (co)authors of more than 250 research peer-reviewed articles. He is the Editor of Nutrients, PlosOne and J Clin Med. He has been visiting professor at U Chiba, Japan and U Cagliari, Italy. He is Fellow of Royal Society of Biology, UK. He has been Innolec laureate at Masaryk University, Czech Republic; awarded the Robert Naqué Prize by the Société de Physiologie (France); Nutrition & Food Excellence Prize by National Academy of Medicine (France) and nominated as Ambassador for Research by the Burgundy State (France). He founded a start-up “Ektah” that obtained the iLab Prize (France). Dr Khan has been Secretary General and is acting as Secretary for International Affairs at the Société de Physiologie (France). He is founding member of the African Society of Physiology and Physiopathology, Senegal. Dr. Maria Dalamagka, MD, MSc, PhD, is a consultant anesthesiologist at the General Hospital of Larisa, Greece. Her expertise spans anesthesia management in pediatric, autistic, surgical, orthopedic, urological, obstetric, and otorhinolaryngological cases, as well as emergency treatments. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a critical role in managing ICU patients in the operating room recovery unit. Additionally, she has explored acupuncture as an early intervention for chronic pain. Dr. Dalamagka is an active editor for various medical journals and has contributed significantly to the field through her research and editorial work
